who am i?

My name is Kathy Monahan, and I am a freelance writer with seven years of experience in writing articles and marketing materials. I've written about everything from comic book history to synesthesia to the Gold Rush Trail, which combined with a lifetime of reading similar arcana makes me practically unbeatable at Trivial Pursuit. I am also working on my (seventh) first novel: Castle Hopeless, a satirical love story set in fairytale country.

I have a B.A. in Theatre Performance from Scripps College in Claremont, CA, for which other people spent a lot of good money but which I have never used professionally. I also spent a few semesters studying library science at the Pratt Institute, which I loved but had to quit when I discovered it was a service profession.
